In the Junior Football Season 2004-2005
the Under 11 Football Team has moved up
to the Under 13 League. The squad has
also been enlarged to 15 players from
last year’s 12 players, as the teams
will now field the full 11 players and
not 7 players, as was played in the Under
11 League.
We have also introduced for the first
time an all girls team in the Under 11
League. Andrew Parody, the Team Coach,
will have a tough challenge ahead this
season, but it will be interesting to
see who will really feel intimidated …..the
girls or the boys?
We hope that all our members had a pleasant
summer break and that we will see you
all at the Live televised matches at the
Club.
If you have not yet renewed either your
local membership or the Chelsea FC membership,
please contact the Club Secretary or any
member of the Committee as soon as possible.
Televised Matches

Wed 20th April v Arsenal kick off 9pm

Sat 30th April v Bolton kick off 6.15pm
Sat 7th May v Charlton kick off 1.45pm

Four of the matches have an asterisk marked
against them. This is because the matches
are being shown live on Satellite TV,
but not on a channel we currently receive.
Nevertheless, experience has taught us
that these matches always end up televised
on the Spanish sports channel. Therefore
it is safe to include them in our list.
It is important to emphasise that this
list is not exhaustive, and that new matches
are constantly being added. So WATCH
OUT for our announcements on
our website.
The month of March has proved to be a
great one for the local branch of the
Chelsea Supporters Club. It started with
an invitation from Chelsea Football Club
to all of their official supporters clubs
to a meeting, followed by a dinner with
its top executives.
The local supporters club was represented
by Adrian Ballestero. The purpose of the
meeting was to discuss ways in which the
supporter's clubs could help Chelsea to
expand their fan base worldwide, as well
as ways in which the football club could
develop closer links to the supporters
clubs.
Local club Secretary, Adrian Ballestero,
described the meeting as very positive,
and stated that useful contacts had been
established with all the other supporters
clubs.
The guest speaker at the dinner was none
other than Chelsea legend Ron Harris.
This was followed by an official club
trip to Stamford Bridge to see the classic
Chelsea v Barcelona match that was won
by the blues by 4-2. The club were given
a very generous allocation of tickets
for this match and many members made the
trip. They were all glad to have done
so!
The Supporters club will be making another
visit to Stamford Bridge in April. This
time to see the matches against Arsenal
and Fulham. It is hoped that the league
title will be won at one of those matches.
